Lift Every Voice: Black History Month Assembly at Tallahassee School of Math and Science Celebrates Art & Culture
History cannot be taught without art. It is through stories that we absorb the true depth of events and emotions experienced by those who came before us. These stories may be told through writing, dance, music, or visual art, but what they have in common is their ability to shine a light on voices from the past.

This year I made sure I found a school who not only value having a large amount of students, but value my children’s education. Not a day has went by that my kids didn’t come home with some type of exciting thing that happen but also awesome grades to show for the hard work. I’m so thankful that they don’t send the kids to the office for everything but find ways to help every student(like an individual student). I recommend this school to any parent who is stressing that their child(ren) is not learning like they should. Big hats off to the teachers!
The app to help communicate between teachers and parents is amazing. The way that the school includes all ages for everything that they do is amazing. And my son has learned so much in just the first half of the school year! Have we had issues? Yes, but the school is very open to communicating with the parent, and between myself, the teachers and any other faculty that needed to be involved, we were able to address and deal with whatever issues came about.
Putting him in TSMS has been a God send!! Thank you so much!!!!! I love the interaction between the staff, teachers, and myself, and I am thrilled with the after school programs. My son is so happy and so am I!!!!
Our family is new to TSMS and so far we are extremely pleased. We are thrilled with the diversity of the school, the after school clubs, and the free after school tutoring. It is evident that the teachers are there because they love to teach and not simply for a paycheck. I feel that my children are in good hands at TSMS and that they are going to receive a high quality education.
The teachers have been amazing. They really care about the children. They devote time after school, weekends, even extended studies late into evening to help kids succeed. Smaller classes and clubs have been wonderful. All 3 my girls loved this school.
